Therapy Helps You Shift the Focus—From Out There, to In Here

I am a psychotherapist and coach offering integrative, in-depth therapy for people who are ready for change—but unsure where to start.

Clients often ask, “Will this just be talking about my past?”
And the honest answer is: sometimes—but only when it helps us understand what’s happening now. Exploring past experiences and relationships can shine a light on the patterns shaping your present. But therapy must always serve change in the here and now—because that’s where your power lies.

This isn’t just a space to be supported—it’s also a space where you’ll be gently challenged. I’ll walk alongside you, but I’ll also invite you to be honest with yourself, to stay curious, and to explore what might need to shift for you to move forward.

I use creative, embodied, and evidence-based methods like EMDR and Sensorimotor Psychotherapy. We don’t just talk—we listen deeply to your mind, body, and inner experience, so something new can emerge.

What I can help you with:

I work with people on a wide range of issues, and below you’ll find just a few of the reasons someone might seek therapy. This isn’t a complete list, but it offers a sense of the kinds of experiences we might explore together—and how I approach them.

If you’re looking for support around body image or your relationship with food, you can find more information here.

Anxiety

Anxieties can arise from myriad sources – whether it’s worries about ourselves, others, relationships, work, or finances, to name just a few. At times, anxiety can feel so overwhelming and all-encompassing that it’s hard to pinpoint exactly what’s causing it—yet you’re aware it’s still present. The most common way people try to manage anxiety is by avoiding or ignoring it, keeping busy, or distracting themselves whenever anxious thoughts or physical sensations like tightness in the chest or a knot in the stomach arise.

While avoidance might provide temporary relief, it doesn’t address the root cause, so the anxiety lingers along with those difficult thoughts and feelings. Therapy offers a way to move past avoidance by equipping you with practical tools you can apply in daily life. It also provides a safe space to explore and understand your anxieties, and it’s this combination that often provides the catalyst for change.

Relationships

There is a reason that songs, movies, books and so much in the world is about relationships.

Relationships lie at the heart of our existence, and much of our time is spent thinking about them—whether in our personal lives or at work. They deeply influence how we feel about life, whether through their presence or their absence. If you’re struggling with challenges in relationships, experiencing loss, finding it hard to trust, or feeling alone, therapy can be a doorway to new possibilities.

This also includes the relationship you have with yourself. Constant self-criticism, feeling “not good enough,” or keeping so busy to avoid being alone with your thoughts can be exhausting. If any of this resonates with you, therapy can be truly life-changing.

Life choices, life changes.

Are you unsure what to ‘do’ with your life? Do you feel stuck or unhappy with in a job, relationship, or other situation but are not sure how to move forward? Or maybe you find that when you attempt to change things you somehow find yourself in a similar situation. Perhaps you find yourself at the end or beginning of a new phase of life involving your career, relationship or life stage. If you could benefit from some help with what comes next, either through coaching or therapy, get in touch.

Depression

Life can be challenging and there will be times where we may feel less energetic or ‘don’t feel like ourselves’ but if this becomes prolonged then therapy can be enormously helpful. You may have found it particularly difficult to talk to friends and family about your thoughts and feelings, perhaps because you don’t want to ‘burden’ them. If so, get in touch and find a place to speak freely and work through the difficulties you are facing right now.
